‘The Shepherds Hut’ was the hand scrawled title given to an archival photograph taken circa 1920 by Edgar Richard Williams, a Dunedin born mountaineer and photographer (1891 – 1983). This small tin hut was located in the Macaulay Valley with a stunning view of the Southern Alps in the background.
